Final Project Change of Plans
My plan was to make a video that in part illustrated the impact of fossil fuels over the environment, represented by airplanes, space shuttle and butterflies. After Prof. Saphire mentioned it reminded him of videos his daughter watches, I decided to keep it lighter, cheerier, and more geared towards children.
This is not the project statement I will submit as part of the final project submission.
Ha! I actually just meant that many children's shows use collage or green screen techniques, as well as position key frames to create motion. I think it's such an accessible look for a short time-based piece. To be clear, it might be VERY effective to combine complex, difficult subject matter, like climate change, with more light hearted visual tactics. Either way, I think you're really on to something with your images—they are unique and inviting.
